Travel services for art installation in Western North Carolina are available. For those located a little bit beyond our service area, we are available to travel and stay near your location overnight. This typically makes sense for larger projects, such as when you're moving to Western North Carolina and need someone to hang a whole collection, or when you need a professional art installer for interior designers.

We've built many wonderful friendships and business relationships with locals who needed artwork installed, from people moving to Asheville who need an art handler to install their collection, to artists who needed a single painting installed in a hard-to-reach location. Here's a quick list of the people we regularly assist:

Installing art in the mountain and lake regions can be a little different from installing it in town. Many beautiful mountain homes have a two-story stairwell, a 20-foot-tall stone fireplace, a tall feature wall of rough wood, and a piece of artwork that somehow ended up needing to go *way up there*. What looks simple from the sofa can be a very different proposition once you're standing underneath it with a ladder.
Then there are the surfaces. We work with everything from painted drywall and wallpaper to stone, plaster, wood paneling and textured finishes. Each one calls for a little thought before we start drilling holes. Hanging heavy framed mirrors and large artwork can require two people to handle everything safely, particularly when we're working over a vanity, fireplace, staircase or other location where there isn't much room for error. The geography itself can also be part of the equation. Homes around Asheville, Cashiers, Highlands, the High Country and the mountain lake communities can be spread out, tucked down winding roads, or sitting considerably farther from town than the map initially suggests. We know that a 45-minute drive on a mountain road isn't quite the same thing as a 45-minute drive on the interstate, so we plan accordingly and arrive prepared. And because so many mountain homes are second homes, vacation homes or seasonal residences, the person meeting us at the door isn't always the person who owns the art. We're accustomed to working with homeowners, installing art for interior designers, and scheduling with builders, property managers and other members of the team to keep things moving. In short, mountain homes are often beautiful, interesting and occasionally a little tricky. That's part of what we enjoy about working in them. We bring the ladders, hardware, extra hands and a willingness to figure out how to get that very large painting onto that very tall wall, safely and efficiently. |
