Picture Hanging Service in the Northeast of Asheville

The quiet, rural character of North Carolina's High Country makes the area feel like a wonderful place to escape from busy city life, but it can also make it difficult to find a professional picture hanging service nearby. That's why we've expanded our service area to cover a broad region to the northeast of Asheville, including:
  • Banner Elk
  • Barnardsville
  • Blowing Rock
  • Boone
  • Burnsville
  • Grandfather Mountain
  • Spruce Pine
We also work further south toward Hickory and north toward Johnson City, TN. You can click here for a map of our full Service Area.

Because many of the homes in these communities are second homes or seasonal residences, our calendar tends to fill up in the busy summer vacation season and around holidays. If you'd like to reserve an installation date that coincides with your visit to the mountains, we recommend getting in touch ahead of time.

Three reasons why homeowners & interior designers in NC High Country prefer professional art installation

Mountain properties often present a few installation challenges that you may not encounter in a typical urban or suburban home. In Western North Carolina, for example, many homes are built into steep or sloping lots, resulting in tall stairwells and difficult-to-access walls. Safely installing artwork in these areas may require specialized equipment, such as stairwell ladders or scaffolding.

Large stairwell walls can also be ideal locations for substantial artwork, but hanging larger and heavier pieces often requires two installers to handle the art and position it safely. We’re happy to help with these more challenging installations.

Many homes in Blowing Rock, Banner Elk, and other parts of the High Country also feature great rooms with tall stone chimneypieces. These can present two separate considerations: safely accessing the installation area, and determining how best to secure artwork to the existing stone or masonry. Depending on the construction and the weight of the piece, the appropriate hardware and installation method can vary considerably.

If you need someone to hang artwork on a stone fireplace or chimney, please let us know in advance. We can assess the project ahead of time and make sure we bring the appropriate hardware and equipment to install your artwork safely and securely.

Art installation in a room with high ceilings and tall stairwell near Blowing Rock
One of our favorite art choices for tall stairwells like this one is a sound-muffling textile. The high ceilings in this home near Boone also offered an opportunity to hang sculptural art over the patio door.
Hanging art into tile fireplace over a mantelpiece near Grandfather Mountain
We've noticed in newer builds near Boone that some homes have tile fireplaces with thin grout lines that make it hard to attach a hanger. In this example, we sourced steel cables to suspend the piece from the ceiling.

Moving to a second home near Blowing Rock can feel like a logistical challenge... but we can make it easier by getting your family heirlooms safely installed. It's the last step that makes a "house" feel like a "home."
