Asheville is growing, and as the southern neighborhoods near Arden and Hendersonville fill up, more and more of the people who are moving to Western North Carolina are looking north toward the underdeveloped areas of Madison County and points beyond. And with a new hospital in the works near Weaverville, the future looks bright indeed for one of the quietest parts of western North Carolina. Plus, the Tri-Cities area in Tennessee and Virginia has also seen plenty of growth recently.
We've actually been based near Marshall for more than twenty years, so we're excited to see our area being appreciated by more people. Here are just a few places we love to work:
We also work further west (into east Tennessee) as well as further east in the North Carolina High Country near Boone. You can click here for a map of our full Service Area.
Planning to come in from out of town? Our schedule sometimes fills up quickly in busy season, so we recommend calling ahead to reserve your preferred dates. |

We've seen several gated communities pop up in the past decade or so, often arranged along rugged sections of the French Broad River or the smaller Laurel and Ivy Rivers, or else hugging a ridge which looks out over the acres of wilderness between us and Asheville. Some of the local neighborhoods we serve include:
Further north, we also serve communities near Johnson City, TN such as:
And our service area extends as far north as Bristol, VA... so if you're near enough to take a day trip to the River Arts District in Asheville, you're also close enough for us to visit your home and lend you a hand. |

One challenge that we've run up against in our years of living near Marshall has been finding home service professionals who are willing to drive to rural areas. Fortunately since we live out in the country ourselves, we're happy to drive a few extra miles to your neighborhood and help make it easier for you to redecorate or move into a new home.
Homeowners near Madison County, NC and Johnson City, TN also face many of the same challenges that homeowners face further south in areas such as Cashiers and Lake Keowee. Mountain homes are often built into a hillside and have tall basement ceilings, which in turn means large stairwells with hard-to-access walls that are best filled by large artwork. We can bring special stairwell ladders and extendable scaffold boards, plus crew members accustomed to handling large art, which makes it possible to decorate spaces that would otherwise be out of reach. Lake homes have similar challenges: they tend to have tall windows onto panoramic views, which often require large art in order to balance out the view. We're experienced in mounting heavy artwork onto drywall, and even when the studs are in the wrong place, we carry special toggles which allow us to hang weighty pictures safely onto drywall. And whether you have a rustic mountain cabin or a cottage on the lake, chances are good that you have a tall stone chimneybreast which makes it challenging to hang art over the mantel. We can bring scaffolding to access the fireplace, even if you have an awkward hearth to work around, and can also provide special bolts which work in masonry joints. Last but not least, homeowners trust us because we have an experienced art consultant on staff to help you decide where to hang your cherished art when you move into a new home. This has been especially helpful for the many retirees who are moving to Weaverville and downsizing, but it's also a fun service for anyone who isn't quite sure how to decorate their new space. |
